MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing (BoN) released results of November 2024 Philippine nurses licensure examination (PNLE) or nursing board exam on November 28, 2024 or in fourteen (14) working days after the last day of exam. The complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.
Update November 28, 2024: PRC confirmed that "PNLE results will be released within the day."
As announced, 29,349 out of 34,534 (84.99%) passed the exams.
"The results of examination with respect to nine (9) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations," PRC said.
PRC administered the nursing board exam on November 9 and 10, 2024 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan De Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: Starting December 17, 2024
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
According to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.”

PNLE's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The November 2024 nursing board exam has drawn basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e. Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, adults and aged and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
The examination tested competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows:
1. Patient Care Competencies (safe and quality nursing care, communication, collaboration and teamwork, health education)
2. Empowering Competencies (legal responsibilities, ethico-moral spiritual responsibilities and personal and professional
development)
3. Enabling competencies (management of resources and enviromment and records management)
4. Enhancing competencies (research and quality improvement)
PNLE is compposed of five (5) parts namely:
- Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
- Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
- Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
- Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
- Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)
RELEASE OF NLE RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1891 s. 2024, the target release of nurse board exam results is on Thursday, November 28, 2024 or in fourteen (14) working days.
However, results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results between November 14 and 28 or in 4-14 working days.
PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the May 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam (PNLE), PRC released results in just four (4) working days after the exams. A total of 7,749 out of 11,116 passed the exams. Abigail Escueta Cayanan from St. Jude College-Dasmarinas, Cavite Inc. topped the board with 92.60%.
In the November 2023 PNLE, PRC announced results in fourteen (14) working days. A total of 25,761 out of 32,203 successfully hurdled the exams. Aristotle Calayan Castronuevo from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Cris Vinz Corpuz Tomboc from West Visayas State University- La Paz tied on highest spot with 91.00%.
In the May 2023 Nurses Licensure Exams, PRC released results in ten (10) working days. The agency named 10,764 out of 14,364 who passed the exams. Cristin Bagang Pangan from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila earned the highest spot with 91.60%.
In the November 2022 Nursing board exams, results were released online after twelve (12) working days. PRC named 18,529 out of 24,903 who successfully passed the exams. Abigail Garganta Ramirez from Saint Paul University - Dumaguete clinched the highest place with 90.00%.
